Guys - I wanted to let you know that Drake was selected to play on the 10A All Star Team this year.  This is a huge accomplishment as the expectations are very high and include a trip to the World Series in Colorado.  He is playing with what most of the West Linn community believe is the best 10A team every assembled.

Fran, Drake and I wanted to say "thank you" for all your hard work with Drake over the years and we look forward to continuing that work and sharing our experiences on this journey when we next meet up.

Thanks Jose for sponsoring our rec team!  We are currently 8 - 3 in 2nd place.

Drake is batting over 600 with an over 700 OBP.  He is our starter and closer on our pitching staff.

We couldn't of done this without all your help!

Clark: You are the man in our household. Matt found out Friday and Saturday that there are no more cuts for the Jesuit Freshman baseball team. He’s on it! So he made the team and I have to say our house is happier this weekend than it has been for a long time. This really meant a lot to Matt. It was probably less about baseball than it was about social stuff, identity, and a team to be on.

As to you, in our house we have ordered it as follows: God, then family, then Clark! Ha

Seriously my friend you may not know it, but I’m not sure anyone has inspired him as much as you have outside our family. He really had a confidence going into this. And I don’t know how much better he gets from making this team. As that might inspire him too. But about a week before tryouts I told him I had never seen such a jump in skills in all the time he’s played ball. This last week during tryouts he looked great. Believe me, you really helped him get there. He was playing at his best Day #1 of tryouts.

It’s a happy house this weekend. His brother and sister came up from the UofO to celebrate his 15^th birthday with him, and congratulate him on making the team. He’s very proud.

And we are indebted to you my friend. You gave him and therefore us a lot of you. We’ll never forget it.

Thought I would e-mail this to you, and I’ll follow up with a call to see when you are ready for dinner and drinks. I mentioned it to Errett Hummel. He’s up for it too. I know you are swamped with baseball now started. But just tell us what night works for you. Weeknight, weekend or a Saturday afternoon sports bar plan. Very flexible. It would be fun for the 3 of us to get together.
