STAFF OPENING

The Position

The Northwest Diamond Sports Baseball Academy is currently recruiting coaches to fill Head and Assistant Coaching positions for the 2010 baseball season. Head and Assistant Coaches will work 10-15 hours per week, coaching in practice and tournament play. This is a paid position with the opportunity to expand knowledge and experience in coaching baseball; potential to develop as a Professional Private Instructor.

Job Duties

This is a great opportunity for an applicant who is interested in beginning/continuing his coaching career in a setting where the primary goal is player development. Our Academy Teams Program hosts many projects in the forms of camps, clinics, small group training, and development in team settings.

Will assist in the evaluation, projection, and plan for development for players in the program.
Will help in organization of practice and tournament schedule.
Will work in cooperation with NWDS staff in expanding each players development.
Will be responsible for keeping accurate notes of each player development and coordinate private instruction training with NWDS instructors.

Qualifications

Must have experience in play and/or management at the collegiate or professional levels of baseball.
Education and/or experience in working with and teaching young people is preferred.
Must be organized and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic familiarity with Microsoft office applications.
Must be able to work outdoors, afternoon/evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
