CLARK KNAPPENBERGER is currently the General Manager of Northwest Diamond Sports. Clark is a 2003 graduate of University of Arizona where he got injured and was unable to further his baseball career.

Clark has worked endless hours since 2007 to further benefit players in all areas of their game. Clark has coached the Northwest Diamond Sports teams since 2007 and is currently the Head Freshman coach at Lake Oswego High School.

Bryan’s collegiate studies included those of Sports Medicine and Sports Psychology. His goal is “to inspire players to study the game and to play it with intensity.” He credits much of his success to his family, former coaches, Dan Warthen (pitching coach), and teammates. 

We are pleased to note his extensive knowledge of the game in its entirety and his continued work in studying it. Bryan made a turn for his 2nd year as a NW Diamond Sports Private Instructor and Academy Teams Coach in August of 2008 and we look forward to having him as a big part of Northwest Diamond Sports for years to come.

GEHRIG RICHINS is entering his third year as Northwest Diamond Sports team manager. He will also be entering his second year as an assistant coach for Lake Oswego high school. In the past three years he has dedicated his time and effort to develop players of all age groups. Gehrig has completed over 4,000 hours of private instruction not including camps and clinics. At ten years old he started his private baseball lessons with former major league second baseman Jason Hardtke. Two years later moving from California to Oregon Gehrig played for numerous Oregon baseball traveling teams before entering high school. The organizations consist of O.B.A. (Oregon Baseball Academy), B.A.T.T. (Baseball Association Traveling Teams), and B.I.O. Force (Baseball Institute of Oregon). Starting his high school career at Lake Oswego he was the varsity catcher and the third starter in the pitching rotation. Gehrig was 2nd team All – league catcher and pitcher at the end of his first year.

Transferring his sophomore year to Lakeridge he became a third baseman while continuing as a third starter in the pitching rotation on a State Championship team. For the second year in a row he was named 2nd team all league third baseman and pitcher. Gehrig faced his most challenging season during his junior year when he suffered through a severe basketball injury tearing his right shoulder. After losing the semi – final game in the state playoffs he was named first team all – league Utility, and was selected to participate in a major prospect show case called (Top Guns). Following the show case he was recruited to play for the U.S.A. Junior Olympic prospect games, while being followed by professional scouts and college recruiters.

After having shoulder surgery Gehrig went through a ten month rehabilitation program that kept him from playing football or basketball his senior year. His main focus was to get healthy for the baseball season, so he could continue his dream to play college baseball. Gehrig’s dream came true after pitching a one hitter in the state championship game, and earning a two year baseball scholarship to Yavapai College in Arizona. He was named 2nd team all – state and earning the UNITED STATES MARINE CORP. athletic achievement award. Gehrig was being scouted by the Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Devil Rays during his two seasons with Yavapai.

After completing two baseball seasons in Junior college Gehrig had few options presented to him for the duration of his baseball career. University of Notre Dame and University of Hawaii Hilo baseball programs both wanted Gehrig, but he felt that a private Christian College was the best fit for him, so he attended George Fox University on an academic scholarship along with baseball. Gehrig had a tremendous finish playing for Patrick Bailey as a pitcher and 1st baseman in the NCAA Division III Northwest Conference.

He has been blessed with his baseball knowledge from professional instructors and coaches throughout his entire baseball career such as; Larry Richins (Co - Founder of B.I.O. Force), Bernie Hindsman (Co – Founder of B.I.O. Force), Chuck Bufaro (Texas Rangers Org.), Tim Kipper (Minnesota Twins Org.), Steve Wilkins (San Francisco Giants Org.), Steve Kline (Yankees Org.), Tom House (National Pitching Association), Rick Sweet (Cincinnati Reds Org.), Steve Decker (San Francisco Giants Org.), Dave Gasser (Oregon High school coaches Hall of Fame), Jake Anders (Lake Oswego H.S.), Donny Harrell (Seattle University), Sky Smeltzer (Yavapai College), Patrick Bailey (Oregon State University), Jose Cepeda (Kansas CIty Royals & Atlanta Braves)and more. Gehrig’s goal is to make a difference in young player’s lives by teaching the game of life using baseball as his guide.

Mychal Gould was a former catcher, middle infielder, and pitcher at Forest Grove High School and Chemeketa Community College. Known for his passion for the game, he had a stellar career at FGHS where he was named to the 2004 4A All-State team as a utility player. He then went on to play 2 seasons at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, OR. In 2006 He then went on to finish my playing career at Western Oregon University where he played until December 2006 when he decided to pursue a high school coaching career at South Salem High School in Salem, OR and Dallas High School in Dallas, OR. In 3 years as a Head Coach he holds a combined record of 62-34-1. In 2007 he led his South Salem High School Summer Baseball team to the state tourney as the overall number 1 seed. He has also picked up valuable coaching experience as an assistant with Forest Grove High School Summer Baseball Program. Currently, he also works as a private baseball instructor, as a ground crew member at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club and as a assistant varsity coach at Wilsonville High School. He currently resides in Forest Grove, OR.
