Game of Failure
At every practice with our baseball teams we like to use a quote with our players. Last week we used the following quote from Mickey Mantle:
" During my 18 years I came to bat almost 10,000 times. I struck out about 1,700 times and walked maybe 1,800 times. You figure a ballplayer will average about 500 at bats a season. That means I played seven years without ever hitting the ball".

Baseball is a game of failure. We want players to understand that they are going to fail. The question is how you overcome the adversity? Northwest Diamond Sports would love to hear your thoughts on the issue.
Do you offer private instruction?
Northwest Diamond Sports offers instruction in a variety of settings including: private instruction, small group instruction, team training, camps and clinics, and diamond visits. The NW Diamond Sports Summer Baseball Camp is an annual camp run each year by Northwest Diamond Sports Instructors and local collegiate players.Traditionally, this camp has been held at Waluga Park in Lake Oswego, Oregon and boasted a great turn out year in and year out.The all skills camp has proven to be a great way for players to get their last bit of baseball instruction before the end of the summer season. Camps and clinics are a great way for players to refresh their skills and expand their knowledge as they prepare to start training and practice for a new season. Each year Northwest Diamond Sports hosts annual camps, clinics, and combines at our facility and local ballparks to present as many opportunities as possible for players to learn the game.
